This, the eighth segment of The Art of Dying covers my gradual awakening to Buddhism as the path. I had just left the Sea Org for a second time and crashed on my ex-wife’s couch while assessing my life and current (bleak) prospects. But I did discover Buddhism, and I realized that they had known, all along, what I experienced in the fall of 1968.
I then headed up to northern Idaho where I continued to delve into what I now realized was the way out.
